For a manufacturing client based in Glenwood, IL, we are seeking a Receiving Machine Operator to work on site in a full-time, temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent. The position focuses on operating receiving machinery safely and efficiently while following established quality and safety standards. The Receiving Machine Operator will work within a structured production environment, supporting daily operations on either a 1st shift or 2nd shift from Monday through Friday. This role is suitable for candidates with prior machine operation experience who can maintain consistent performance, follow written procedures, and communicate effectively in English.

What You Will Do?

• Operate receiving machinery according to established procedures and instructions, ensuring all equipment is used safely and correctly during each assigned shift.

• Monitor machine performance throughout the shift, checking for irregularities and promptly reporting any issues that may affect safety, quality, or production output.

• Perform basic quality control checks on received materials, verifying specifications and documenting any deviations according to company guidelines.

• Follow all safety compliance requirements, including use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to workplace safety rules in the receiving area.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the receiving machines, supporting efficient workflow and minimizing risk of errors or accidents.

Your Skills

• Previous machine operation experience in a production or warehouse environment, with the ability to learn specific receiving equipment procedures quickly and accurately.

• Strong quality control focus, consistently checking materials and machine output to ensure they meet specified standards and reporting defects when necessary.

• Demonstrated safety compliance mindset, following all written and verbal safety instructions and promptly addressing any unsafe conditions in the work area.

• High attention to detail, carefully following instructions, documenting basic information, and noticing small issues before they become larger problems.

• Effective time management skills, organizing tasks during the shift to meet production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards at all times.

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and basic written documentation within the facility.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
