Lead Anesthesia Technician

Job Overview This position assists the Anesthesiologist in all departments and with all anesthesia procedures, including expediting patient flow through the perioperative area, maintaining patient safety, developing and maintaining customer satisfaction with patients, surgeons, and staff. The role includes setup, operation, and maintenance of specialized equipment and life support. It also involves evaluation and monitoring of patients during the perioperative phase, assisting in sterile or isolation areas, and participating in call rotations for continuous support. The lead technologist serves as a resource for other employees, providing training, instructions, minor scheduling, and work inspection. This position does not engage in hiring, firing, or performance appraisal. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training: Medical or Science based secondary education. Within 90 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification. Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited program (EMT, Paramedic, RT, or Anesthesia Technology). Upon hire: ACLS Provider – American Heart Association. Upon hire: PALS Provider – American Heart Association. Upon hire: Anesthesia Technician certification (ASATT). 1 year experience in a similar capacity in an anesthesia department of a tertiary healthcare facility.
