SummaryPerforms daily maintenance tasks that assists the Parks Department personnel with the maintenance and repairs of the park athletic fields and facilities.$12.00 per hour (20 hours or less per week) *Part-time is defined as 20 hours per week or less, and less than 1000 hours annually; work hours include rotating scheduleEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Maintains and prepares parks and athletic fields for public use;Operates lawn equipment;Repairs and replaces vital facility sports equipment, including nets, batting cages, and wind screens;Assists other city departments as needed; andMaintains and cleans park grounds on a weekend basis such as cleaning public restrooms and removing litter.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis is a non-supervisory position.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 17 years of age to be considered to handle small equipment. Must be at least 18 years of age to operate larger equipment or operate a motor vehicle for City of Brenham business. The employee is required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds, such as materials and equipment, and must carry, push, and pull materials.
