Environmental Services Associate (Flex, Days, Riverside)

Job Description Summary This is a flex schedule coverage associate role for vacation or leaves of absence coverage. You are guaranteed 40 hours per week, but the hours are not set. You will also cover any areas within the hospital, including trash and biohazard disposal on the ground floor. Employees provide cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas, following departmental procedures and completing associated paperwork. Responsibilities and Duties 40% Obtain assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from the automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction. Perform other functions required of the position, such as moving beds or furniture, while following departmental processes and completing necessary paperwork. 20% Follow direction for proper usage of all equipment and ensure cleanliness. Notify appropriate area through the work order process and other defined paperwork to maintain equipment and miscellaneous items throughout the hospital. 10% Keep all assigned carts and areas stocked at appropriate operating levels, including linen distribution. 10% Perform other duties as assigned, such as storeroom maintenance, to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards. 20% Provide a high level of customer service throughout the OhioHealth organization to patients and all other customers. As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties. Minimum Qualifications No degree or diploma required. 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit. 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered. HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.
