Avionics TechnicianThis role focuses on avionics installation and support for turbo-prop and light jet business aircraft, providing service, system upgrades, and avionics enhancements across a diverse fleet.ResponsibilitiesInstall, upgrade, and support avionics systems on turbo-prop and light jet business aircraft.Work with Garmin avionics and radio systems, ensuring proper integration and functionality.Perform precise crimping and wiring of avionics components in accordance with industry standards.Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to guide installation and repair work.Assist with avionics upgrades as part of major inspections, structural repairs, and aircraft modifications.Conduct functional checks and troubleshooting of installed avionics systems to verify performance and safety.Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate avionics work with broader aircraft service activities.Document work performed in accordance with regulatory and company requirements, maintaining accurate records of installations and upgrades.Essential SkillsExperience working with avionics systems on turbo-prop aircraft.Hands-on experience with Garmin avionics and radio systems.Ability to perform high-quality crimping and wiring of avionics components.Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.Familiarity with avionics installation and upgrade processes for business aircraft.Attention to detail and commitment to following technical specifications and safety standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience supporting avionics on light jet aircraft.Background working with a variety of aircraft types, including Piaggio P180, Beech King Air B100, MU300/Beechjet, Cessna Conquest, Cessna Citation, Cessna Caravan, Twin Commander, and MU2.Ability to support avionics work during major inspections, heavy structural repairs, and aircraft modifications.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex avionics issues.Effective communication skills to work closely with maintenance and inspection teams.Why Work Here?You will join a highly experienced aviation service organization with a long-standing reputation for supporting a wide range of business aircraft. The setting involves working in and around hangars and aircraft interiors, using specialized avionics tools and equipment, and collaborating closely with other technical staff to support comprehensive aircraft service operations.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
