7:00am-3:30pm and some Saturdays Monday-Friday

QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Machinist for a company in Houston, TX. This is an associate to hire opportunity.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency before and throughout CNC machine operations
• Keep measuring and machining tools in proper working condition
• Verify that all products go through the quality control process
• Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to meet grinding and polishing standards
• Maintain machine parts and components to reduce rework and scrap
• Routinely follow work orders and interpret customer specifications with strong attention to safety and quality, working independently
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
• Perform additional duties as required

CNC Machinist Requirements:

• Experience or training in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating turning machines and machine tool programs
• Understanding of CNC lathe and/or mill operations
• Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machining tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
• Strong commitment to accuracy and quality in all work
