You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Monitor and control access to buildings, restricted areas, and parking facilities by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation. Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and incident records, issue and recover temporary credentials, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed by site-specific protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice. Possess an armed guard card or license. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
