Robotics Solutions Engineer - Field Service

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Robotics Solutions Engineer for field service to support robotic medical systems in hospital and manufacturing settings. The role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment while maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Perform system setup, installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and de-installation for robotic medical systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and system-performance issues using diagnostic tools and documentation
Respond promptly to scheduled and unscheduled service requests to ensure system uptime
Complete field inspections, software updates, and validation activities per established procedures
Maintain accurate service records, coordinate with hospital stakeholders, and manage spare parts and equipment inventory

Requirements

2-3 years field service, medical devices, robotics, or capital equipment experience
Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and software troubleshooting
Experience with installation, commissioning, calibration, or preventive maintenance activities
Basic understanding of regulated medical-device environments and GMP/ISO standards
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with data interpretation ability
Professional communication skills and proficiency in English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM or service management tools
