This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in enabling Classified Cloud Platforms at Boeing, ensuring that our systems meet the highest security standards.Position Responsibilities:Architect and design hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premises data centers with Microsoft Azure, including workload migration strategies, hybrid identity management, and multi-cloud interoperability where applicableEvaluate and implement network connectivity solutions such as Azure ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and site-to-site connections to ensure secure and low-latency data transfer between on-premises and cloud environmentsLead the implementation of hybrid cloud infrastructures, including provisioning resources, configuring virtual networks, storage, and compute services in Azure while aligning with on-premises systemsConduct assessments of existing on-premises infrastructure to identify opportunities for cloud adoption, hybrid extensions, or modernization, including cost-benefit analyses and risk evaluationsDevelop and enforce best practices for security, governance, and compliance in hybrid environments, incorporating tools like Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and identity solutions (e.g., Azure AD Connect)Collaborate with development, operations, cloud platform, and security teams to define hybrid cloud strategies, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance, scalability, and disaster recoveryStay current with emerging technologies in hybrid cloud, Azure updates, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiencyDocument architectures, create technical blueprints, and provide mentorship to junior architects and engineers on hybrid cloud best practicesParticipate in proof-of-concept projects, vendor evaluations, and capacity planning to support long-term hybrid cloud roadmapsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure Server, Systems Integration and Operations5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, and hybrid tools like Azure Stack or Azure Arc5+ years of experience with on-premises systems, including servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and basic data center management5+ years of experience in designing, implementing and supporting wide area network/local area network environments5+ years of experience developing automation testing & maintaining automation tools5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadershipPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldCurrent advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Hybrid Administrator AssociateExperience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., integrating Azure with AWS or Google Cloud) or other hybrid tools like Azure Sentinel for security monitoringExperience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes on Azure AKS)Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) with a focus on compliance standards like Risk Management Framework (RMF)Experience in leadership in large-scale hybrid cloud migrations or implementations, including cost optimization using tools like Azure Cost ManagementConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.
