Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite within our modern hospital facility, which is equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and technologies. Our standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to best meet our patients' needs. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activity regimens aimed at promoting physical health and pain relief.
• Instruct patients on proper body mechanics and effective exercise techniques to facilitate their recovery and ensure safe practices at home.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, meticulously documenting changes in range of motion, strength improvements, and other vital indicators of functional enhancement.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and readily accessible for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to create cohesive care plans that promote patient rehabilitation.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, instilling a sense of motivation and commitment to their recovery journey.
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and prioritizing their rights.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population across all ages, from children needing sports-related rehabilitation to elderly individuals recovering from surgical interventions. Qualifications

• Successful completion of an associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions related to physical therapy practices.
• A demonstrated ability to effectively implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under professional guidance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building rapport with patients and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $65,000, based on experience and qualifications.
