Advance your career as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting near Cape Coral, FL! This is a rewarding contract position serving multiple campuses with opportunities for both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and part-time schedules. Assignments can be tailored to create a full-time equivalent, allowing flexibility in how you support students across a range of elementary, middle, and high school locations.
As an on-site specialist, you'll play an essential role in the development and success of students requiring SLP services, working closely with educators, families, and school teams to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid Florida teacher certification and/or active FL Department of Health SLP license
- Experience or strong interest in school-based practice preferred
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs; caseloads and age groups will vary by school
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, communication, or swallowing disorders
- Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with school staff and families
- Document progress, maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve multiple school sites, with flexibility to combine locations for optimal caseloads
Additional Details:This opportunity is campus-based (on-site only). Previous Florida school district fingerprint clearance may expedite the onboarding process; transfer of JLA badge from another district is possible.
