Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist near the scenic Fort Myers Beach area, working within a vibrant K-12 school environment. This position offers the chance to support students’ communication and learning at a single campus in either Golden Gate City or Immokalee, ensuring you’ll build strong relationships and make a meaningful difference throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current and active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathology licensure is required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive speech-language assessments and delivering direct services
- Comfortable supporting a diverse caseload, ranging from kindergarten through high school students
- Fingerprinting for school district background clearance, with the possibility of utilizing existing records through the AHCA Clearinghouse
- Willingness to complete JLA badge process upon clearance (may take up to 10 business days)
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation abilities
Role Highlights and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, fostering development across all age groups
- Perform individual evaluations to identify student needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into educational settings
- Contribute to IEP meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Enjoy a predictable Monday-Friday schedule, up to 35 hours each week, entirely on-site
