Description

• Facilitate individual speech therapy sessions concentrating on aspects like fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and nurses, to develop holistic care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preference for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of starting.
