Responsibilities
- Provide on-bus nursing care for a student with diabetes, including glucose monitoring and timely response to hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia per policy
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with Washington state license requirements and school policy
- Collaborate with school nursing staff, teachers, and transportation personnel to implement the student's individualized care plan
- Monitor the student's condition during transportation and at school, ensuring safety and comfort
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and any incidents in line with school policies
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards in both on-bus and in-school settings

Requirements
- Active Washington LPN license (WA LPN)
- Diabetes care/management experience in a school or mobile/bus setting
- Local candidates only
- Ability to ride the bus with the student and provide care in a mobile environment
- Ability to work in a school setting and collaborate with educational staff
- Demonstrated team communication and adherence to school policies
