Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to elderly or disabled individuals in their homes or residential facilities.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with medication reminders and appointment scheduling
- Assist with mobility, including transferring and lifting clients
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Be on time for visits and professional
Qualifications:
- Experience in senior care or related fields such as nursing or social work is preferred
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, resident rights, and patient care best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
- Must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (e.g., assisting with transfers, repositioning, mobility support).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, gait belts, and transfer boards.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as cleaning, meal prep, and personal care tasks.
- Ability to support clients during transfers from bed to chair, chair to toilet, and in/out of vehicles.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations, including supporting a client who is losing balance.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to household cleaning products and normal home‐care environmental conditions.
- Ability to work in various home environments, including homes with stairs, pets, or limited space.
- Ability to use hands and arms for fine motor tasks, such as grooming, bathing assistance, and medication reminders.
