Restaurant & Private Events Manager - Hearth & Vine

Summary: The Floor Manager is responsible for daily front-of-house operations and overseeing event management to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role leads staff performance, enforces operational standards, and supports the planning, coordination, and execution of events. Working closely with culinary, operations, and events teams, the Floor Manager ensures seamless service, manages events, and maintains high hospitality standards to achieve overall operational success. Serving as a hands-on floor leader, this position plays a key role in driving guest satisfaction, team development, and overall operational success.

Management Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food quality standards.
• Recruiting, training, and managing restaurant staff on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and Company standards, especially in relation to steps of service.
• Implementing and enforce Company policies and procedures.
• Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and driving job satisfaction.
• Monitoring and assessing performance by providing consistent coaching, conducting performance reviews, and addressing employee concerns.
• Scheduling and coordinating shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
• Addressing employee concerns and grievances, escalating issues when necessary.
• Collaborating with Heart-of-House management and other departments to optimize workflow and resolve cross-functional challenges.
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with relevant departments and/or suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
• Managing and monitoring budgetary goals, controlling costs without compromising quality.
• Handling guest inquiries and complaints with a focus on satisfaction and recovery of service.
• Generating reports, including service recaps and other data as it relates to business trends.

Events Focus

• Overseeing event operations, including planning, coordination, staffing, and execution to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Handling client requests and post-event follow-up seamlessly.
• Cultivating and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout the event planning process.
• Collaborating with the operations and events staff to ensure seamless execution of events to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Responding to inquiries, conducting site tours, preparing proposals, and converting leads.
• Negotiating details within guidelines and managing contracts, deposits, and client communications.
• Keeping the event pipeline, BEOs, and timelines accurate and up to date.
• Coordinating menus, staffing, room setups, AV, and special requests with clients and our team.
• Leading event setup, pre-service meetings, and execution while supporting floor service.

Must Haves:

• 4+ years in a managerial role in a restaurant setting
• 1+ years of experience in event management
• Knowledge of various software, including Triple Seat, Point of Sale systems, and reservations systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
• Expertise in client relationship management
• Acute business & financial acumen
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance with wage & hour, scheduling, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
