Position Shift Lead Position Profile: The role of the Shift Lead is to perform the duties of a Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant when not filling in or assisting the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability of the hospital. This position works with the Practice Manager and/or Chief of Staff (COS) to ensure effective communication with all clients and internal stakeholders and colleagues. Responsibilities Assist and support the hospital leadership in developing an efficient, productive team that provides the highest quality care and service to pets and clients. Follow Banfield protocols and practices, focus the team to achieve practice priorities while building our culture and brand. Provide day-to-day supervision of the team when called upon and ensure quality medical care, exceptional client service, associate engagement and maximum productivity. Foster an environment where a team can deliver quality, efficient and effective veterinary care to pets and engage associates so they do their best and feel proud to be part of the team. Provide professional, efficient and exceptional client service, including client education about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, hospital services, marketing campaigns, and other related information; effectively resolve client issues. Assist in effectively scheduling associates to meet client needs, while proactively planning time off and continuing education scheduling. Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures and adherence to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines. Benefits and Compensation The pay range for this role is $17.57 - $22.45 Hourly. The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area, with the specific rate determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, and education, and may vary depending on location or applicable minimum wage laws. Qualifications Must be available to work weekend and evening shifts. Must be comfortable working in an environment with loud noise and strong smells. Must be 18 years of age or older.
