Fragrance Sensory Evaluator (Temporary)

Join MANE’s Wayne, NJ QC team as a Finished Goods Evaluator in this temporary position (until the end of the year), where your expertise in evaluating scents will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality. This role focuses on sensory evaluation—technical or laboratory skills are not required, as you’ll be working alongside our technical team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs organoleptic (olfactive, texture, appearance) analyses of raw materials, materials in process and finished products, following prescribed testing procedures. Evaluates and records sensory impressions accurately and consistently. Maintains records of test results and reports results to requestor. Works under general supervision. Handles special tasks and projects as requested in order to meet company objectives. Participates in relevant education/training and adheres to MANE’s environmental policies and practices. Other duties and responsibilities in support of company objectives. Advanced sensory evaluation (olfaction) needed. Nice to have: Experience with SAP GC Interpretation EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a fragrance evaluator or in a similar sensory evaluation role required. Formal education or technical background is not necessary, but experience in sensory analysis is essential. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Excellent sensory perception and descriptive abilities. Oral and written communication skills. Team collaboration. Dependable and detail‑oriented. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The anticipated pay rate for this position is $35 to $45 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, and applicable legal considerations. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is awarded based on both individual and company performance.
