Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner/Business Analyst to drive the successful delivery of our API development software project. This role will be the critical link between business stakeholders and the geographically distributed development team, ensuring that the project delivers maximum value. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data principles, API development practices, and agile methodologies.

• Possessing 10-12 years of progressive experience in product ownership and business analysis, specifically within data and API development, demonstrating a strong track record of leading complex initiatives.
• This role operates under a hybrid work model, requiring a balanced presence in the Irvine, CA office for collaborative sessions and independent work, alongside remote flexibility.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in guiding the development and integration of microservice architectures, ensuring scalable and resilient data and API solutions.
• Proven ability to lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive API documentation using industry standards such as OpenAPI or Swagger, facilitating seamless developer experience and integration.

• Lead the definition and prioritization of features for data and API development initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of API solutions and financial data-centric products , from conceptualization to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with a team of business analysts and product specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
• Oversee the translation of complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for data aggregation pipelines and API services.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders. Document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct data analysis to understand data sources, formats, and relationships.
• Champion the adoption of best practices for API documentation, utilizing standards like OpenAPI/Swagger to ensure clarity and usability.
• Ensure the scalability and maintainability of data solutions and API codebases, adhering to established company standards and architectural principles.
• Facilitate agile SCRUM ceremonies, including refinement, planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to optimize team delivery and collaboration.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators for data and API products, driving data-informed decisions and continuous optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to resolve complex data issues and propose innovative solutions.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the evolving data ecosystem, industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
• Guide the team in evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies to enhance the current data stack and improve efficiency.
• Ensure robust data governance and quality standards are integrated into all data and API development processes.
• Drive the communication strategy for product roadmaps and updates to various stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
