Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, evaluating mobility, strength, and pain levels to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Employ a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to address specific patient needs.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Engage in clinical teaching by mentoring physical therapy students and interns, providing guidance, and sharing expertise to foster their professional development.
• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss existing patient cases and contribute ideas for enhancing service delivery and patient care practices.
• With the support of management, initiate and engage in clinical research projects that align with areas of clinical expertise to promote evidence-based practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from active adults seeking to return to sports to seniors recovering from joint replacements. You will play a pivotal role in guiding them through their rehabilitation journeys, ensuring they achieve their personal goals for movement and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• An active state license to practice Physical Therapy in New York is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to tailor treatment effectively.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
