RN - Step Down Unit (SDU)

Job Location: Los Angeles, CA 90034 Job Duration: 13 week of contract (Possible Extension) Shift: 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM

Compensation: Local Pay: $ 70- $77/ hour on W2 Travel: $3360/weekly

Job Summary: The Step-Down Unit RN provides care to patients who require closer monitoring than a general medical-surgical unit but do not require full ICU-level care. The RN monitors patient conditions, administers medications, manages IV therapies, and collaborates with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team.

Job Duties:

Monitor patients with complex and/or unstable medical conditions.
Perform frequent assessments and recognize changes in patient status.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygenation, and other clinical parameters.
Manage oxygen therapy, telemetry, drains, and other medical devices.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
Assist with procedures and provide post-procedure monitoring.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and care plans.

Requirements:

1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Registered Nurse License
Basic Life Support
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Experience in Cardiac Rhythm Recognition
