Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Specialist located in St. Louis, MO. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with all Federal and State safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety auditing, processing new applicants, identifying unsafe patterns, and recommending improvements to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications
- Great organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess risk factors and implement effective safety policies
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
