Payroll Specialist

A growing retail organization in White Plains is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a multi-location workforce. This position will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate has experience handling high-volume payroll in a retail or multi-site environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.Review and audit timekeeping records to ensure accuracy.Calculate overtime, bonuses, commissions, shift differentials, and deductions.Maintain payroll records and employee information within the payroll system.Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.Administer garnishments, wage attachments, and benefit deductions.Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end close activities.Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Support year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and audits.
