Systems engineer, controls data center capacity

Salary: $104,000 - 104,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or comparable work experience
• Over 4 years of experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
• At least 2 years of experience creating scripts, tools, and automation for extensive computing environments
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or similar languages
• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Deploy, manage, and maintain extensive Windows and Linux systems, including virtualization technologies and networking elements
• Develop and uphold automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with an emphasis on scalable deployment workflows and infrastructure management
• Utilize AWS or comparable cloud services to support hybrid infrastructure setups
• Design and execute secure, scalable solutions while considering system interdependencies and constraints
• Investigate complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions through root cause analysis
• Generate and sustain technical documentation, produce training materials, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
• Collaborate with global teams, provide technical guidance, and support cross-functional initiatives
• Recognize security vulnerabilities, formulate mitigation strategies, and engage in compliance activities
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation with potential travel up to 20%
