Workers Compensation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in New Orleans, LA. Duties
- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, including employer liability and indemnity disputes.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
- Evaluate claims and develop effective defense strategies.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and experts to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Stay current on workers' compensation statutes and case law.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
- 3-7 years of workers' compensation or insurance defense experience.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent legal writing abilities.
- Experience handling depositions, hearings, or administrative proceedings.
- Ability to manage files independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to responsive client service.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
