Lead Waterjet Programmer

A contract metal fabricator is seeking a Lead Waterjet Programmer / Operator to program, operate, and maintain waterjet cutting equipment. This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone who can keep production moving, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and maintain cutting quality.

Responsibilities:

• Program waterjet cutting equipment using customer drawings and job specifications.

• Set up and operate waterjet machinery to cut metal parts to required dimensions and tolerances.

• Review drawings, determine cutting requirements, and select appropriate cutting parameters.

• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality.

• Perform basic troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on waterjet equipment.

• Identify and address issues involving cutting quality, machine operation, and equipment performance.

• Maintain accurate production records and follow established safety and quality procedures.

• Assist with training and directing other waterjet operators.

Requirements:

• Previous experience programming and operating waterjet cutting equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience performing basic repair and maintenance on industrial machinery.

• Ability to use measuring tools and inspect finished parts.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of waterjet production.
