Logistics Specialist

Job Title : Logistics Specialist
Location : Chickasaw , AL -36611
Duration : 6 Months
Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
The manager is looking for candidate with strong experience with arranging shipments domestic/international vs warehouse experience.

Introduction

This role supports international shipments and export compliance in a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate will have foundational logistics, shipping, or supply chain experience and be capable of working effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience with various transportation modes: Ocean (LCL, FCL), Air, Road, Rail, and Special equipment shipments
Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping compliance: IATA, IMDG, DOT, U.S. export regulations
Proficiency in preparing international shipping documents: Commercial/customs invoices, Packing lists, Certificates of Origin, Free Trade Agreement documentation, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work with urgency
0-2 years of related experience
Associate degree or equivalent preferred
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Comfortable presenting to senior leadership
Strong decision-making skills in uncertain situations

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Analyze and develop logistics plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory
Create and review distribution and inventory management procedures
Maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing costs
Coordinate shipments and support global logistics operations
Ensure regulatory compliance for international transportation
