Plant Facilities Manager

Facilities ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement of a growing precision manufacturing campus in Indianapolis, IN.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the facilities, building systems, infrastructure, and supporting equipment remain safe, reliable, organized, and ready to support production. The ideal candidate understands that in a high-precision CNC manufacturing environment, facility uptime directly impacts production uptime.This position will coordinate preventive maintenance, outside contractors, building projects, utilities, safety initiatives, and facility improvements while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and company leadership.Responsibilities:Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and overall condition of the manufacturing facility and propertyDevelop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility systems and infrastructureCoordinate maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, lighting, fire protection, and other building systemsServe as the primary point of contact for facility-related vendors, contractors, service providers, and inspectionsCoordinate repairs and facility projects while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operationsSupport installation, relocation, and commissioning of CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment from a facilities and infrastructure standpointCoordinate electrical, compressed air, ventilation, foundations, rigging, utilities, and other requirements associated with new equipment installationsMonitor facility systems and proactively identify potential failures, capacity concerns, or maintenance needsManage facility improvement, renovation, expansion, and capital projects from planning through completionMaintain organized records for inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, contractors, permits, and facility projectsSupport workplace safety programs and help ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, environmental, fire, building, and safety requirementsCoordinate waste disposal, recycling, hazardous material handling, and other environmental or facility-related programs as applicableMaintain facility security, access control, emergency systems, and related proceduresManage relationships with contractors and suppliers, including obtaining quotes, reviewing scopes of work, scheduling projects, and monitoring performanceAssist with facility budgets, capital planning, maintenance expenses, and cost-control initiativesMaintain appropriate inventories of critical facility supplies, replacement components, and maintenance materialsSupport emergency repairs and facility issues when neededIdentify opportunities to improve facility reliability, energy efficiency, safety, organization, and operating costsMaintain a clean, professional, and well-organized manufacturing environmentPartner with company leadership to anticipate facility and infrastructure requirements as production capacity growsRequirements:5+ years of facilities, industrial maintenance, plant maintenance, or related experience within a manufacturing or industrial environmentPrevious experience overseeing a manufacturing facility, machine shop, production plant, or similarly equipment-intensive operation strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of industrial electrical, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, mechanical, and building systemsExperience coordinating contractors, vendors, equipment installations, and facility projectsUnderstanding of preventive and predictive maintenance principlesAbility to troubleshoot facility issues and determine when internal repair versus outside support is appropriateFamiliarity with OSHA and general industrial safety requirementsExperience supporting facility expansions, capital equipment installations, or manufacturing infrastructure projects preferredStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to read basic facility drawings, equipment specifications, utility requirements, and technical documentationComfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and responding to issues as they ariseStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production employees, technical teams, contractors, and senior leadershipProactive, hands-on mentality with a strong sense of ownership and urgencyExperience within CNC machining, aerospace, medical device, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus Aspire Talent Solutions
