Executive Director, Product Development, Analytical Services & Direct Material

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Executive Director to lead integrated procurement for Product Development, Analytical Services, and Direct Materials, managing approximately $1B in annual spend across the product lifecycle. The role requires establishing unified category management strategies, driving supplier partnerships, and delivering financial and operational value while reporting to the Vice President of PDS Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of Direct Materials Procurement into Product Development & Analytical Services organization
• Develop and implement formalized category management structures and governance across three sub-categories
• Manage supplier relationships and performance delivery, including small business suppliers
• Take personal ownership of largest and most complex supplier arrangements across portfolio
• Ensure delivery of category value targets aligned with finance and business stakeholder agreements

Requirements

• Proven procurement leadership in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or medical device sectors
• Experience integrating new categories or teams into established organizations
• Exceptional cross-level communication and presentation abilities
• Strong project management and category lifecycle expertise
• Business acumen with strategic thinking for complex supply challenges
• Procurement systems proficiency; Ariba experience preferred
• Industry certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM preferred
