Product Manager - Finance Systems

Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst – Finance is the technical liaison between the Information Technology and Finance teams, having both business and technical expertise. This team member will work on advanced, complex technical projects and business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, and services. The Business Systems Analyst – Finance will be the subject matter expert in all aspects of Warehousing and Transportation Rating, Invoicing, Collections, and Vendor Payments. This role will also design and support financial integrations between operational applications (Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems) and the company's Financial ERP application.

Core Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.
\n
• Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
\n
• Develops process documentation and project plans; creates flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams.
\n
• Supports cross-functional activities and working sessions during projects' design and implementation phases.
\n
• Designs and prepares documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes; may deliver training to impacted business units.
\n
• Works autonomously, with goals generally communicated in solution or project goal terms.
\n
• Serves as subject matter expert on Warehousing and Transportation Rating, Invoicing, Collections, and Vendor Payments.
\n
• Designs and supports financial integrations between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and the Financial ERP application., using standard integration mechanisms such as APIs, messaging, SFTP, and EDI.
\n
• Collaborates with Finance to configure and leverage the Financial ERP for efficient financial processes, including period-close, invoicing, collections, and vendor payment workflows.
\n
• Designs, builds, and maintains financial reports and data extracts that Finance can act on, partnering with Finance to define the underlying business logic and definitions.
\n
• Ensures the integrity of data as it moves between the Financial ERP and the Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems. Builds and maintains reconciliation and exception reporting so discrepancies are surfaced and routed early, and supports investigations of data discrepancies in partnership with the TMS/WMS Product Owners and Operations.

• Contributes to Financial ERP platform evaluation, selection, and implementation, including requirements definition, solution design, data migration, testing, and cutover support.

Minimum Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
\n
• 4 to 7 years of related experience in business systems analysis, finance systems, or a related field.
\n
• 3 to 5 years of experience with a Financial ERP, including day-to-day user support, configuration changes, period-close support, integration monitoring, and vendor escalation.
\n
• Experience with a full-lifecycle ERP implementation or major upgrade, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, data migration, UAT, and post-go-live hypercare.
\n
• Proficient with SQL and data analytical tools, and with integration mechanisms such as APIs, messaging, SFTP, and EDI.
\n
• Strong understanding of both business processes and technical systems, with the ability to translate between Finance and IT stakeholders.
\n
• Experience documenting requirements, process flows, and system specifications.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver training materials.
\n
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

\n

\n
• Prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Financial ERP integrations.
\n
• Familiarity with warehousing and transportation rating, invoicing, collections, and vendor payment processes.
\n
• Hands-on experience with a mid-market ERP platform such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or Infor, or a comparable system.
\n
• Experience in logistics, 3PL, warehousing, or transportation.
