RN ICU

The Registered Nurse in the ICU night shift role is responsible for providing specialized critical care nursing to patients in an intensive care unit setting. The nurse will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. This position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently during night shifts. A current Colorado RN license and relevant critical care experience are essential. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical observations.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certifications and improve clinical skills.

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 3 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required within 6 months.
• Minimum of two years relevant critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Telemetry experience preferred.

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
• Experience working in ICU or similar critical care environments.

• Must be available to work holidays.
• Night shift work required.
• Compliance with hospital policies and continuing education requirements.

• Night shifts in an ICU setting.
• Shift assignments based on hospital staffing needs.
