Travel: RN Main Operating Room - Weekend Days (3x12)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 3x12 (06:30–18:00) | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Main Operating Room
• Assist with vascular surgeon procedures in the OR and Hybrid Imaging Suite, including endovascular and open cases
• Function as both Scrub and OR Circulator, working collaboratively with a team of nurses and surgical technicians
• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability and upholding patient rights and confidentiality
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled, averaging approximately 5 or fewer call instances per 8-week period

Required Qualifications

• Current RN License — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma setting (teaching hospital experience will be considered)
• Demonstrated experience as both a Scrub and OR Circulator
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Vascular experience with demonstrated competency in conscious sedation
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 Trauma experience with multiple years of OR practice
• Highly motivated, self-starting personality with strong human relations and communication skills
