Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Tele RN)

Location - Syracuse, NY

Duration - 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a night shift position in a high-acuity acute care hospital. Candidates must have recent experience in hospitals of similar size or larger, or in Level I/II Trauma Centers.

Assignment Details:

• Night Shift Position
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Excessive time off requests and fixed scheduling requests will not be considered

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years)
• Experience in a hospital of similar or greater size, or a trauma center environment
• Ability to independently provide acute care nursing with minimal orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience
• Epic Electronic Medical Record experience

Required Clinical Skills:

• Intravenous (IV) Insertion
• Laboratory Specimen Collection
• Telemetry Monitoring
• Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation
• Comprehensive Nursing Assessment
• Acute Medical-Surgical Patient Care
