Job Type : Full Time Location : Tucker, Georgia Job Description What you will be doing: Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11, and related bankruptcy proceedings. Handle adversary proceedings and contested matters. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other bankruptcy court filings. Conduct legal research and prepare litigation strategy memoranda. Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and bankruptcy court proceedings. Manage discovery and all phases of litigation. Communicate directly with clients, trustees, opposing counsel, and the Court. Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys on complex commercial litigation matters. Experience you will need: J.D. from an accredited law school. Minimum 5 years of bankruptcy litigation experience on the creditor side. Demonstrated courtroom and adversary proceeding experience. Familiarity with the Northern District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court strongly preferred. Sharp written and oral advocacy — you can argue a motion and write a brief.
