SCALE CLERK – $16.00/HOUR

Driver Source is currently hiring a dependable and detail-oriented  Scale Clerk to join our client’s team.

Pay: $16.00/hour
Pay Increase: $17.00/hour after 30 days based on good attendance, performance, and ability to learn the position
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (Mandatory)

Job Duties:

• Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and materials
• Accurately record weights and transaction information
• Enter information into computer systems
• Prepare weight tickets, receipts, and other documentation
• Verify customer, vendor, vehicle, and material information
• Communicate with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal personnel
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers and vendors
• Perform basic addition and subtraction
• Maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies
• Keep the scale house and work area clean and organized
• Follow all company safety and environmental procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong attendance and dependability are a must
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Must be comfortable with basic addition and subtraction
• Applicants will complete a basic math test; this is  not advanced math
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service experience is required
• Must be neat, clean, and presentable; jeans are acceptable
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a busy environment
• Bilingual skills are preferred but  not required
• Previous experience with truck scales, recycling, scrap metal, logistics, or industrial operations is helpful but not required
