Position Overview

Albany Medical Center seeks a full‑time academic fellowship‑trained microsurgeon to join the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The role offers access to state‑of‑the‑art operating facilities, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Clinical breast microsurgery
• Head and neck microvascular and general reconstruction
• Lower extremity microvascular and general reconstruction
• General reconstruction procedures
• Provider will be obligated to take hand‑on‑call duties

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O.
• Successful completion of an approved plastic surgery residency program
• Board eligible or certified in plastic surgery
• Valid New York State medical license (or ability to obtain one)
• DEA certification
• Fellowship in microsurgery or equivalent clinical experience

Salary & Benefits

Base salary range: $385,000–$513,000. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance; paid malpractice coverage; CME reimbursement and expense allowance; paid time off for sick days and vacation; a 403(b) retirement plan with Roth IRA option; public service loan forgiveness; and additional performance‑based incentives.
