Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday – Friday | 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $90 - $105/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee patient care quality, employee performance, and clinical operations across inpatient pediatric services.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License with Primary Source Verification through NYSED.

• BLS certification.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience.

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.

• Experience with employee performance management, patient care oversight, and quality management.

• Experience monitoring clinical performance, medication error tracking, employee counseling, and corrective-action support.

• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN).

• Experience in PICU, General Pediatrics, and/or NICU.

• Pediatric inpatient nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor nursing and patient-care performance across inpatient pediatric units.

• Assess unit performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support nurse managers and clinical leadership in maintaining patient-care standards.

• Identify performance concerns and assist with appropriate corrective actions.

• Maintain records related to medication errors, employee counseling, and performance management.

• Develop and implement performance-improvement initiatives.

• Monitor compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.

• Provide guidance regarding employee performance, counseling, and professional development.

• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to address patient-care concerns.

• Support safe, effective, and patient-centered care within PICU, General Pediatrics, and NICU settings.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation.

• Promote accountability, quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
