About This Role
The Teacher is responsible for leading a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing day-to-day classroom activities. To ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment, the Teacher must be aware of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, actively engaging children and encouraging them to succeed. Effective communication is key, as the Teacher must interact with both children and adults to meet children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and address parental concerns.
What You'll Do Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement lesson plans that incorporate classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
Plan individual and group activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children, actively engaging them in learning processes.
Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure that all center policies and state regulations are adhered to at all times.
Maintain a clean and healthy classroom environment, prioritizing hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they follow planned activities, safety, and hygiene standards.
Maintain accurate records, forms, and files, keeping them up to date at all times.
RequirementsCPR/First Aid
Must be able to maintain physical activity with young children.
Able to lift at least 35lbs throughout the day.
At minimum TCC or CDA required.
Must clear full background check
A strong understanding of child development.
At least 2 years experience working in a daycare setting.
