Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia (or eligibility for licensure).
• Previous experience in a school-based OT role preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual or group settings to support functional skills and academic success.
• Assess and monitor student abilities, developing treatment plans and goals tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing OT expertise to IEPs and assisting with progress reviews.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of services, assessments, and student progress in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines.
• Offer consultation and training to educational staff to promote understanding and carryover of therapeutic strategies.
