Cash Controller Lead

As a Cash Controller Lead, you'll ensure accurate, efficient operation of the Store's Business Center and Cash Control office. Key responsibilities include cash handling and financial functions, such as preparing, verifying, checking, and maintaining all store accounting functions; ensuring office/store funds balance; controlling consignment inventories; performing all necessary terminal and bank readings; preparing/reconciling tills; visiting the sales floor to help with pulls and audits; researching/resolving store accounting variances; and performing Business Center Representative duties, as needed. Additionally, you will prepare Cash Control office schedule, monitor Business Center schedule, order/maintain Cash Office supplies and forms, adhere to H-E-B security/confidentiality guidelines, assist with resolving electronic maintenance/terminal issues, communicate feedback to cashiers as needed, assist manager with preparing performance reviews for Cash Control and Business Center Partners, provide work direction, feedback, and training to Partners, work to achieve department budget and Business Center income, ensure department Partners are MSB-certified and comply with the guidelines, and ensure Cash Office/Business Center Partners follow SOPs.

Qualifications and key requirements include being 18+ years old, having 1+ years of experience, proficiency in Checker and Business Center duties/skills, strong communication, organization, and customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires detailed, precision work, ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks during stressful situations; attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, completion of MSB Certification, Checker Training, and SOAP Training. Physical demands include constantly reaching at waist, grasping, frequently standing, walking, performing fine motor movements, occasionally sitting, walking, reaching overhead, at shoulder, at knee, at floor, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, stair climbing, pivoting, and being exposed to ambient temperature and loud noise conditions. Demonstrate the ability to lift 45 lbs, and manage in excess of 45 lbs. It is Partners' responsibility to never lift beyond their own safe lifting limit. If an item is too heavy to lift, push or pull, and/or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
