Trauma RN

We are currently seeking a skilled Trauma Registered Nurse to join our team. This role encompasses care for both pediatric and adult patients in a trauma level one setting. The position requires rotation through various departments, including surgery, ports, pediatrics, and the emergency room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to trauma patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in surgical procedures as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and respond effectively to changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Active nursing license (RN) required.
• Strong knowledge of trauma protocols and care standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Health and Professional Requirements:

• MMR vaccination documentation.
• Fit Test clearance.
• Hepatitis B vaccination documentation.
• Varicella vaccination documentation.
• Tdap vaccination documentation.
• Annual physical/health statement.
• Negative PPD with annual questionnaire or documentation of appropriate testing.
• Influenza vaccination documentation.
• Completed UHS Skills Checklist and Competency Exam.
• Proof of education and employment verification.
• Successful completion of a UHS drug screen.
• Completion of criminal background checks and OIG searches.
