Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. This role is based in a dynamic 28-bed Emergency Department, which includes 4 dedicated trauma bays, 2 specialized behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and critical thinking skills to manage a diverse patient population ranging from acute medical emergencies to trauma and behavioral health cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
• Conduct rapid and accurate patient assessments, prioritize interventions, and implement treatment plans in a high-pressure environment.
• Manage care for patients in trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitoring areas.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
