Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy within a skilled nursing facility setting. Responsibilities Include Developing and implementing patient treatment plans to improve functional abilities. Assessing patient progress and adjusting goals accordingly. Overseeing care provided by OT assistants, aides, and students. Documenting patient care accurately and timely using therapy software. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Supporting patients through activities of daily living and promoting quality of life. Ensuring safety, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and organizational standards. Qualifications & Skills Certified by NBCOT and licensed in the applicable state. Graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT). CPR certification required; willingness to participate in community health projects is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication. Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate professionalism, and maintain good body mechanics. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Key Attributes Patient-centered approach with excellent customer service skills.
