Butler Rehab and Healthcare Center, a leading provider of healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Director to lead our social services team. As a Social Services Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the mental and psycho-social well-being of our residents.
Social Services Director Responsibilities:
Monitor the resident's mental and psycho-social needs and provide services to meet these needs
Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific developmental factors in directing the overall operation of the facility's delivery of care
Participate in the pre-admission screening of all potential residents and provide information to residents and families during admissions
Coordinate and review behavior charting to ensure an effective plan of care is implemented
Provide therapeutic counseling to residents and family members to meet psych-social needs
Social Services Director Qualifications:
Degree in Social Services or related field (or relevant professional experience to the position)
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required
Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care
Possesses good communication skills and is patient and self-disciplined
