By joining this particular High Performance Computing (HPC) prime contract, you'll help maintain and advance the computing infrastructure that powers unprecedented mission-critical analysis, scientific discovery, and scalable national security outcomes.As a System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.Responsibilities: Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems and storage.Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client storage/network devices.Demonstrate superior communication, contribute to team efficiency, and work towards solutionsOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningQualifications: Experience with Linux OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and installTechnical storage experienceUnderstanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, SlingshotFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, AnsibleProven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problemBachelor's degree in a technical disciplineMinimum five (5) years of demonstratable system administration experience or ten (10) years minimum experience in lieu of degree.DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.___________________________________________________________________The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
