Job Description

We are seeking skilled mechanical assemblers for a military and defense facility located in Santa Ana, CA. This role is for the 1st shift, running from 6am to 2:30pm. 2nd Shift is also available! The position involves repetitive tasks and a goal of producing 5000 units per month, making it a high-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably within aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.
• Utilize common hand tools and power tools, including pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, and specialized test equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with engineering and production teams both verbally and in writing.
• Conduct validation and testing of electronic components using equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
• Assemble high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components, involving hand soldering and component fabrication.
• Troubleshoot electronic box assemblies and write detailed issue tickets for failures.
• Perform functional checkouts and tests, diagnosing any issues discovered during these processes.
• Integrate and test RF systems.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient computer skills, including standard browser use and word processing applications.
• Working knowledge of common electrical components.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Capability to change roles and responsibilities rapidly in a high-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with air-frame construction techniques such as rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates.
• Experience in electronic box assembly troubleshooting.
• Capability to run RF systems tests and troubleshoot extensively.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and expanding facility, equipped with new technology and tools. Steel toe or composite toe shoes/boots are required. The company has recently received funding to build a new facility, showcasing its commitment to growth and innovation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.
