INDUSTRIAL TECHNICIAN

Industrial TechnicianThe Industrial Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting, equipment breakdowns. Your duties will involve ensuring that production processes run efficiently and safety, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.Qualifications:Associates degree in mechanical engineering or similar filed or related certifications preferredFive years of proven experience as an industrial technician or similar role, preferable in a manufacturing environmentWilling to work a 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts with planned day/night rotationMust have own toolsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsProficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsFamiliarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair workKnowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to industrial machinery.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessaryCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactionsJob Responsibilities:Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:Perform regular maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company proceduresConduct repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts to restore machinery to optimal working conditionCalibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in production processes.Implement and perform preventative maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of machineryTroubleshooting:Identify and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment to restore machinery to optimal working conditionsDiagnose malfunctions and determine the best adjustments or repairsDocumentation:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performanceDocumenting completed work and conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessarySafety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.Team Collaboration:Work closely with other members of the maintenance team as well as production and engineering personnel, to address maintenance issues and improve equipment performanceInteracting regularly with external vendors, peers, and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment.Provide training and guidance to operators and other staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance proceduresContinuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in equipment operation and maintenance practicesOther duties as assigned.Work Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position:Inside and outside environments applyManufacturing environmentAbility to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)Subject to noiseInteplast Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
