About The Firm
Well-established Tampa law firm specializing in Construction Law, Commercial Litigation/ Financing/ Real Estate, General Business & Corporate Law, and Merger & Acquisitions. Seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support the growing practice. This is an opportunity to join a tight-knit, collaborative legal team committed to excellence, client service, and long-term stability.
Position Summary
The Legal Assistant will play a critical role in supporting attorneys through contracts and litigation case management, document preparation, legal administrative support, and client communication. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys being an integral part of a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation case workflows, deadlines, and file organization
- Draft, revise, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, and discovery
- Maintain client files and prepare documents for file opening/closing
- Assist attorneys with scheduling, communication, and document preparation
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all work
Requirements
- 5+ years legal assistant experience required
- Strong knowledge of law office procedures and contract processes
- Excellent drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Experience with First Party Property Insurance, Construction Defect, M&A is a plus
