We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a large employee population in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can manage end-to-end payroll activities across multiple states while maintaining compliance and data integrity. The ideal candidate will bring strong payroll processing experience, confidence working in ADP Workforce Now, and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.
Responsibilities:• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established deadlines.
• Administer multi-state payroll activities, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other pay-related adjustments across jurisdictions.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, review, validate, and finalize payroll data for regular and off-cycle processing.
• Audit payroll records and investigate discrepancies to ensure employee pay, tax withholdings, and deductions are properly applied.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll-related questions, resolve issues, and provide clear guidance on pay matters.
• Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support payroll-related reporting and reconciliation activities to confirm the accuracy of payroll results.
• Assist with payroll process updates or system-related changes as needed while helping maintain continuity of operations.• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing.
• Background handling multi-state payroll with a solid understanding of related tax and compliance considerations.
• Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now in a payroll environment.
• Experience processing payroll for large employee populations of 500 or more.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct payroll discrepancies efficiently.
• Working knowledge of payroll regulations, deductions, garnishments, and standard payroll practices.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
