The Senior Accounting Manager plays a key leadership role in shaping and scaling Entrata’s accounting operations. This position combines technical accounting expertise, strategic thinking, and people leadership to drive financial excellence across the organization. The role oversees complex accounting and reporting activities, leads a high-performing team, and partners closely with cross-functional leaders to support business growth and informed decision-making. As a trusted advisor, the Senior Accounting Manager will champion process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and help modernize financial operations. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a fast-growing technology company while influencing key initiatives that support Entrata’s long-term success. \n Responsibilities Lead and oversee accounting operations across multiple business functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Own and drive the month-end and year-end close processes, delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. Serve as a technical accounting subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex transactions, accounting standards, and strategic business initiatives. Design, implement, and continuously improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial integrity. Partner cross-functionally with Finance, executive leadership, and key stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and business growth. Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development. Minimum Qualifications Advanced Excel and financial analysis expertise, with a proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights. Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and strategic decision-making skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across the organization. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Proven track record of leading high-impact initiatives and large-scale projects that drive operational excellence and support company objectives. Leverage company-approved AI tools to improve efficiency, accelerate deliverables, and enhance decision-making. Apply strong professional judgment as the human reviewer of AI-generated content, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and alignment with company standards. Maintain strict data privacy and security practices, ensuring proprietary, confidential, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is not exposed to unauthorized systems or models. Demonstrate the ability to develop clear, effective prompts and workflows that consistently produce high-quality results across a variety of business and accounting use cases. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience required; a master’s degree may offset a portion of the experience requirement. Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system strongly preferred. CPA designation strongly preferred. \n $133,100 - $213,200 a year This band covers the full salary range for the role. Your offer within this range will depend on factors like experience, skills, and internal equity.
